Outstanding Alumni – 2013

Mr. Eric Friall is a Regional Manager for TAS Energy, a Houston based company that manufactures packaged modular solutions serving the mission critical, commercial and industrial, power generation and renewable energy marketplace.  Prior to joining TAS, Mr. Friall operated a small consulting group that focused on providing technical solutions to large corporate legal departments and law firms.  He formerly held positions of Vice President of Sales at New York based LegalKey Technologies, Director of Sales at Philadelphia based Law Manager, Inc., and was Director of Sales at Solution6 (now Aderant) where he was responsible for global sales, marketing, and business development efforts for the company’s enterprise and professional solutions.  As an entrepreneur, Mr. Friall has owned companies in the fields of Transportation and Logistics, Managed Healthcare, and Human Resources Consulting.

Mr. Friall graduated from the Florida State University (FSU) in 1990.  As a young executive in training at FSU he served on the Union Board, Student Senate, Chief of Staff to the Student Body President, and was a member of Seminole Torchbearers and Order of Omega.  He interned in the Florida House of Representatives with Representative Tom Drage of Orlando.

Mr. Friall is a mentor for the Leon County school system and serves on the Board of Directors of Carter Ministries.  He holds active memberships in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., the 100 Black Men of Tallahassee, Leon County Citizens Advisory Water Resources Committee, and the Leon County Democratic Executive Committee. Mr. Friall is the National Vice President of the FSU Black Alumni Association.  During his tenure as Vice President, the association developed an enhanced governance structure and strategic plan, and played an integral role in planning and implementing FSU’s Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Integration.  He has also served as a Regional Director for the association.

Mr. Friall is a Life Member of the FSU Alumni Association and the FSU Black Alumni Association.  He and his wife are Seminole Boosters’ Golden Chiefs, and regular contributors to various scholarship funds.  He currently resides in Tallahassee, Florida, with his wife Dr. Andrea (King) Friall, also an FSU alumnus, and their daughter Camille.
